Off to Stockholm!
Wow, friends. Hello again!
Last time I checked in I mentioned an adventure- we hiked the Møn Klints, or giant white chalk cliffs about an hour south of Copenhagen. While looking off of the peaks in my introspective, wow-the-world-is-so-beautiful feels, I realized that I love my living learning community and the people I live with. I am so incredibly happy that I was chosen to be a part of this community. We push each other to explore Denmark and Europe through it’s natural wonders. The women I went on this hike with specifically are so refreshingly positive; we laughed more genuinely than I have in a very, very long time. And even better, we will have these experiences almost weekly throughout the semester. Three days after the Møn Klints, my entire LLC went on our second excursion, a stroll around Amager. When I say a stroll around Amager, I mean an 18 mile bike ride along the entire coast of the island. Was I sore? Yes. Did I get that tingly, sentimental, I-love-life feeling again? You know it.
Currently, Meghan and I are in our hostel in Stockholm, Sweden! This is my first time out of Denmark since leaving the US, and I am super excited to see what this city has to offer. DIS has a program in Stockholm as well, so I’ve seen a few places I’d like to check out on their website and Instagram.
Before I go explore for a bit, I have to shamelessly plug that I am taking over the @DISabroad Instagram tomorrow (9/9/17), so go check it out!
Okie dokie, well I'll talk to you after our adventures in Stockholm, blog! Bye!
